Other benefits of having the card include getting 1% cashback on all purchased items and receiving up to 5% cashback on certain items every quarter. In order to get the benefit of 5% cash back on the items, you will need to register through Discover before the start of each quarter to be eligible for the cashback benefits.
Capital One QuickSilverOne
Another great card for people just starting out with credit cards is the Capital One QuickSilverOne card. Unlike the Discover it card, this Capital One card has a flat cashback rate on all purchases in each quarter. 1.5% cashback on all purchases, everywhere, always. With this card, you do not have to worry about applying for the benefit of getting 5% cashback each quarter. The Capital One QuickSilverOne card had an annual fee of $39.
